Advance Art Students Assignments

Orange folder Drawing Exercises (draw in sketchbook)

Page 19 A-D Each composition should be finalized by the end of the week-art techniques demonstrated and your drawing space should be completely filled.

If you have successfully completed at least two drawings, you can select a drawing activity on that page under Style, Images and writers word, Design Elements, Careers to work on.

Page 45 Select from Pattern drawing, texture rubbings, leaf composition,art criticism(create a sketch of the artwork also), value, and Drawing with music(write down the song that inspired your composition)

Page 79 Select from Drawing what you see, a partial view of an insect, inside a fruit/vegetable, shading simple objects - or compose a drawing of geometric forms with an creative background

Start thinking about RODEO composition ideas.

Also, for the art principles of design-each should be defined and have a small example drawn under the definition.

When you are done: Art Contests listed on the white board by my desk or the yellow folder of drawing ideas.

Artwork should be posted on class blog or emailed to me by Friday of each week. If you do not have an email address-----> create one (gmail or yahoo). No camera on your electronic device don't worry have all your work available to show me when I get back!

Art I Students Assignment

Students need to fold four sheets of white drawing paper to create a Art Principles of Design booklet.
Cover-should include Title:Art Priciples of Design Student name and lots of color and designs.
Each page should have one art principle drawn in creative lettering,definition, and several examples-must ADD COLOR!
Refer to the poster with examples.
When you completely finished each page with definitions and drawn examples, you may find examples in magazines to fill the entire drawing space.

Mixed Media Exploration Sculpture

Inspiration Artist Louise Nevelson www.louisenevelsonfoundation.org Advance Art Students: Select several pieces of wood scraps, etc. Create a mini sculpture, must have the first letter of your first name in design. Use the hot glue gun to complete the structure. Select a accent color to paint in some areas not the entire sculpture. Use the record album as your base.

Master Artist Report

Report should include: Cover Page with artwork that is drawn by you that was inspired by the chosen Artist (must add color and shading). Typed report that includes a Title page (your name, class period, date, title of your report) Body of information about the Artist ( introduction, conclusion, minimum of 3 paragraphs) Reference page ( authors name, title of book or online site) Refer to example in class.
